So there you have it. Expect a new, improved version of the original Flappy Bird to make its appearance in the AppStore and Google Play sometimes in the future.

The new version will most likely have a playing limitation or a warning to take a break, as stated in the RollingStone interview published this month. Perhaps the control will be modified as well.

If you haven't read the interview yet, have a look and find out what are his thoughts on the Flappy Bird success and why did he pull the game from the iOS/Android stores.

What to play until then?

If you are looking for Flappy Bird alternatives, there are hundreds, if not more, clones out there. You can find them in the AppStore, Google Play, and even on Facebook.

If you don't fancy playing a clone of the game or you support the Vietnamese creator, have a look at the other 5 games currently available from .GEARS STUDIOS, Dong Nguyen's website:

  1. Smashing Kitty - available in HTML5
  2. Droplet Shuffle - available in HTML5
  3. Shuriken Block - available in HTML5 and iTunes
  4. Ninjas Assault - available in HTML5
  5. Super Ball Juggling - available in iTunes

All 5 games are free. In order to play the HTML5 versions, you must click the HTML5 links from your mobile browser on your phone.
