Here are the details

Nokia released many details about the N1, in the Slush 2014 conference that took place in the 18th of November. It will cost $249, a more-than-reasonable price for a new tablet manufactured by a company which used to lead the mobile phone industry in the past. It will first hit the Chinese market on 19 February 2015, which is only 3 months away, but no release dates for the western part of the world were announced.

Nokia N1 will be running Android Lollipop (i.e. Android version 5) which indicates that the tablet is going to be quite powerful (and will be proven below). Additionally, it will have its own launcher, which was given the name Launcher Z. It’s already available for download in Google Play, so you can check it out now to get the feel of the N1 beforehand (get the Z Launcher here).

The N1 will have a 7.9-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2048x1536. It has impressive dimensions (200.7mm x 138.6mm x 6.9mm) and as you can see will be extremely thin and light (weighting only 318g). The screen will be scratch-resistant with Gorilla Glass 3 (it’s a well-known fact that Nokia emphasizes on its devices’ strength) and will include Zero Air Gap technology, removing reflections and improving outdoor visibility. Its body is made from aluminum with surface anodization.

Dimensions of the Nokia N1

It will be equipped with the powerful 64-bit Intel Atom Processor Z3580, a quad-core processor clocked @2.3 GHz, which will be accompanied by a 2 GB LPDDR3 (800 MHz) memory. Even though it will have no SD card slot, Nokia makes sure that this will not be a problem since the N1 will have an internal memory of 32 GB. The graphics will be powered by a PowerVR G6430 (533 MHz) chip.

On the back it will have an 8 MP camera with autofocus, and on the front will be a 5 MP camera (fixed focus). These numbers may not be as high as you’d expect if you’re a demanding user, but Nokia phones always managed to capture high quality photos even when equipped with lower MP cameras. In addition, you will be able to record videos at 1080p.

The N1 will also have a Micro-USB 2.0 with a Type-C reversible connector, a 5300 mAh rechargeable lithium polymer 3.7 V battery, 6-axis gyroscope and accelerometer, Wi-Fi supporting 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards (dual channel, 2.4GHz & 5GHz), and Bluetooth 4.0.
