Game Review: Defeat sunbathers in Shark Pool [iOS, Android]
Shark Pool is the new mobile game by AK Arts and promises to offer you an exciting time with a simple yet challenging gameplay that requires not just luck, but also thinking and calculated actions. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
Shark Pool has a very simple plot; you take on the role of a Great White Shark named Zuckerberg who only wants his peace of mind and the quietness f his home. But when sunbathers start swimming towards him, he must do everything in his power to keep the away. To defend his home you must aim and shoot towards the invaders but also you have to calculate which path will result to the most damage for the invaders. When you shoot, projectiles will appear and start bouncing from target to target as long as they are on their path. When there is nothing on their path they will disappear.
Your goal is to destroy as many enemies as possible before they get to you. The enemies are coming from all sides (and moving inward toward the cave), so you’ll need to aim carefully. As you progress, you’ll earn multiplying power-ups that will unleash a multitude of fellow sharks on those fleshy invaders. As an endless-arcader, it means you will inevitably lose and your aim is to get the highest score.
And because we’re close to Halloween, the developers have prepared a surprise for the players by turning the enemies into monsters and creatures of the night. Definitely a great way to celebrate the Halloween.
Graphics & Sounds
Shark Pool has lovely and funny 2D graphics with vibrant and smooth colors. The sound effects are also fitting and the BG music is fun and uplifting.
If you’re looking for something with simple rules, something to relax your mind and offer you fun and challenge, then Shark Pool will not disappoint you. It’s not something unique or extraordinary but it does well what it was made to do. Let us know your thoughts and impressions in the comments below.
