Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 Released on Steam

Whether you're an aspiring car mechanic, or a season veteran of the field, you may be interested in a game by developer PlayWay, called Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 -- or CMS for short. This game puts you in the shoes of a mechanic, whose job is to fix up cars, and of course drive them around afterwards. There are a total of 75 missions in the main campaign, with the addition of a free mode where players can drive around as they please. 

Currently, this game is available on Steam, for a one-time fee of just $19.99. The game has seen positive reviews for the most part, and sales have definitely been successful in the few weeks since it's release. After being on Steam for two full days, the game was ranking in the Top 5 Best Sellers, and remained in the Top 20 throughout it's entire first week on the market. To put things into perspective, Steam is the biggest virtual game distributor out there, and offers a lot of blockbuster titles like DayZ and Metal Gear Solid.

Since it's release, there have been a lot of reviews and gameplay videos surfacing, and everyone seems to praise the legitimacy of the game. Playing CMS is a great way to learn some basic knowledge about cars, and how all of the parts work together to form a functioning vehicle. Of course this isn't an alternative to going to mechanic school, but you can still learn some basic terms and information while playing a video game.

Other than the main 75 missions, there's also a completely random order generator, so you can continue to work on new cars with different problems as long as you want. In total, there are eight different car types (sedan, sport, SUV, etc), and three unique workshops that offer different types of equipment used to work on the cars. As you can tell, there's a lot to do in this game, and you definitely get plenty for the low cost to purchase CMS 2014.
