Possible Release Date for Destiny on PC

A couple of weeks ago, players got their first crack at the upcoming blockbuster title Destiny, which is being created by Bungie Studios. For those unfamiliar with Bungie, they're the ones who originally created the Halo series, which has gone on to become one of the greatest, and most selling video game series of all time. It's been several years since Bungie has really released anything, so the hype level is huge for Destiny. 

One of the biggest speculations, is when this game will be released on PC. Xbox One and PS4 have already been confirmed for release in just over a month, on September 9th. However, there is nothing officially confirmed for the PC release. According to the latest rumors, it has been speculated that Destiny will release March 2015 for PC, six months after the console release. 

The source of these rumors comes from a leaked Steam Database, which listed March 2015 as the release for Destiny. In the past, leaks like this have ended up being inaccurate, but they have also turned out to be true as well. Only time will tell, but at this point, it's nice to hear that the PC release is only six months off, and not a year or longer like some had predicted. 

For comparison sake, you can look at GTA V which was released last September for Xbox 360 and PS3, with the intent of another release on next-gen consoles and PC. Now, nearly a year later, there is still no confirmed release date for the next-gen/PC version on GTA V -- however they are aiming for a Q3/Q4 2014 release.

Destiny is going to be a combination of FPS, RPG, and MMO, and with the high reviews coming out of the beta, players are very eager to get their hands on the final version of this highly anticipated release. Still -- you can't help but worry a bit, especially if you don't own an Xbox One or PS4 and know you'll be waiting for that PC release.
