Game Review: The Little Fox will melt your heart
It is not often that I play and review games that use foxes as an mc and The Little Fox is definitely a very good start. Simple in terms of rules but challenging in playing it, it is a game that knows how to bring balance between simplicity and excitement. Let’s take a look at this little gem starring a little fox.
The game takes place in various colorful and unique worlds full of hexagons that the fox must walk on in order to reach the level’s end and collect diamonds in the process. Your task is to move the little fox left and right and avoid guiding her outside the hexagons because this will signal the game over. If you make a wrong move you can always restart from where you left of, as many times as you need by spending one diamond each time. Luckily, collecting them is not hard as they are basically everywhere around you.
Some hexagons act as helpers to you, as they allow you to jump, move faster or slower and more. Each world has a different theme e.g. one takes you to an icy forest, another to a volcano, or even the deep sea and more that you will unlock as you advance. The game does seem easy but it is actually quite hard to take the right turn at the right moment because the fox moves fast. It is not over the top difficult either though, so after a few tries you get the grasp of it with no problems.
The game has only one IAP and that’s diamond bundles. You can purchase 100 diamonds for $ 0.99 or have unlimited diamonds for $ 2.99 which is a very tempting package. You can also watch ads and be rewarded 10 diamonds every time. Other than that, the game is completely free.
Graphics & Sounds
Appearance-wise The Little Fox is a treat for the eyes with its gorgeously designed worlds and the cute fox’s looks and expressions. I especially love the expression she takes when you lose. The BG music is also very atmospheric, unique and relaxing.
All in all, The Little Fox is a game that will keep your interest for a good amount of time. It is a very straightforward game and the objective and it is very fun and challenging. Let us know your thoughts and impressions in the comments below.
