AAClr is freeware with a simple but useful function. Windows 8 added a feature where you can automatically adjust the Aero colors according to the selected wallpapers. This is a popular feature, so popular that windows 7 users wanted it bad enough to create a program that does the same thing.

AAClr is written in C++ and avoids using the .NET Framework. This simply decreases the startup time for programs that are supposed to be started automatically on logon.

AAClr has the ability to detect changes in your wallpaper, by catching events from the system instead of using timers to access the wallpaper files several times a second. This gives AAClr an advantage over some of the other competitors.

When selecting a program for this function something you need to look at is the amount of recources it will use up. Unlike some competitors AAClr is a small program, using only 2MB of private bytes.
