The already long list of models in the Axon series, is growing even more with the addition of the ZTE Axon 2, which passed through TENAA, under the codename A2017. After Axon, Axon Elite, Axon Pro, Axon Lux and Axon mini, ZTE is preparing to present the next Axon model, Axon 2.

From its looks, it seems that ZTE Axon 2 is missing the dual camera that its predecessor used to include, and a new single camera with a fingerprint sensor in the bottom part will take its place. The new ZTE smartphone will have 64bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor installed, a QHD OLED 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440) panel, 4 GB available RAM and 64 GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with the use of an SD card.

The camera set includes a back 20 MP camera, with dual-LED flash, and a second, 8 MP front camera. The device has a metal body, its weight is 175gr, and its dimensions are 154x77x9.8mm. Charging will be performed via a USB Type-C port.

Even though the presentation date is not yet known, it certainly won’t be long until ZTE Axon 2 hits the market, considering that it was included in the TENAA listing.
