The original LG G Flex smart phone was intentionally curved or bent as part of its unique design. This was a bit of a shock to consumers who were not used to a smart phone that they would place on a desk and it would rock back and forth until it settled.

However, for people who think nothing of sliding their smart phone into their back pocket and walking around with it, the attraction of the LG G Flex curved screen and body was not lost on them. Especially not for users who sat down forgetting about the smart phone in their pocket and promptly broke the glass display. The irony of the unintentionally bendable iPhone 6 also brought some amusement to proceedings too.

Now the company are revealing their LG G Flex 2 model at the upcoming CES 2015 trade show. Posters revealing the bendy G Flex 2 model are already adorning the hallways where the trade show is going to be held so they are no longer keeping it a secret from the electronics industry; they intend to make a big splash instead.

For anyone who loved the idea of the first model but didn't take the plunge, the upcoming second iteration will doubtless bring with it newer specifications like a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor perhaps, an updated Android operating system and some other goodies to play with at the show.

Perhaps 2015 will be the era of the curved devices and will upstage the further proliferation of 4K video across mid-range devices after all.
