Gauntlet PC Reboot has been Released
After a short delay, the highly anticipated Gauntlet reboot has been released and is now available on Steam. The game was originally set to release on September 3rd, but was ultimately delayed until the 23rd. Now, it has been out for a couple of weeks, and has been met with moderate reviews from both players and critics -- as of right now it holds a 7/10 rating on Steam with roughly 1,750 ratings. Some players have praised the not-so-easy difficulty, as well as how the game stays true to the classic Gauntlet style.

Since it's a reboot, it only makes sense that they'd go back to the very basics, and that's exactly what was done. The game plays a lot more like the original few Gauntlet games from the late 80s/early 90s, before the game changed up a bit with Gauntlet Legends and Dark Legacy for the N64/PS2. Personally, I'm a fan of all things Gauntlet, so I'm fine with them not going out of the box with this one -- but I am hoping if there is another new Gauntlet game, it's a bit more like Legends.
