"FontSaver shares Font objects."
FontSaver is a useful code introduction which shows how a Java programmer can incorporate the sharing of Font objects in Java coding rather than creating new ones each time they wish to use a font. The approach is intended to help programmers reduce the amount of RAM memory resources consumed when dealing with Font objects by not duplicating the use of the same fonts each time but simply reusing existing Font objects instead. Full source code is provided for easy inclusion directly within other Java programs. Ideal solution for programmers who are concerned about the resources needed to run their programs or for people who wish their programs to run on older machines with far more limited RAM memory installations.
FontSaver Key Features:
- Java code to reuse Font objects that already exist instead of creating new Font objects each time
- Code can be added to Java programs in order to reduce the RAM memory consumed by the unnecessary create of new Font objects when suitable ones have already been created
- Requires Java 1.7 or later
