sedsed 2.0.0

Developer's description
Published by Aurelio Jargas on 10 Jun 2020

"Debug, indent and HTMLize sed scripts"

Sedsed can debug, indent and HTMLize your sed scripts.

In debug mode it reads your script and add extra commands to it. When executed you can see the data flow between the commands, revealing all the magic sed does on its internal buffers.

In indent mode your script is reformatted with standard spacing and in tokenize mode you can see the elements of every command you use.

In HTMLize mode your script is converted to a beautiful colored HTML file, with all the commands and parameters identified for your viewing pleasure.

With sedsed you can master ANY sed script. No more secrets, no more hidden buffers.

Requirements: Python language version 2.7 or later.

What's new in this version: - The old "home made" buggy parser for sed scripts was replaced by sedparse, a Python clone of the battle-tested GNU sed parser. - Now supporting the GNU sed extra commands: e, F, L, Q, R, T, v, W, z. - GNU sed extension: Now supporting the optional numeric argument for the following commands: l, q. - GNU sed extension: Now supporting ~ and + in addresses. - GNU sed extension: Now supporting the M flag for addresses. - Sedsed can now be imported and used as a Python module. - Added many new tests to ensure it works as expected. - Sedsed is now distributed as a PyPI package.
