Transmit is a FTP package to control the uploading and downloading of files from a FTP server. FTP is the internet communication protocol typically used to transfer files between a host computer and a web server. This package offers all the usual FTP queuing, transfer and connection setup that one would expect to find in any FTP package. However, the software also includes some less usual features as well. Disk burning is included which can replace part of the functionality of a fully featured burning app like Nero. Data backup is also possible to access folders and decide to back them up before uploading them to a FTP server. The GUI has been improved lately to include more clarity and animations.
