HDDExpert is a hard drive testing utility to determine whether there are any issues with one of the hard drives that connects to the computer. A hard drive is mechanical and these can break down in various ways or start to become unreliable over time before giving out completely and failing. Particularly given that crucial information can be stored on a hard drive it is important to regularly test them with an app like HDDExpert in order to see if there is anything to worry about with the hardware. Software also presents information about a hard drive including its manufacturer, model, capacity, current firmware, serial number, temperature, cache size, how many complete start and stop cycles there have been and the total working hours.
