Short description

CrystalDiskInfo is a hard drive utility to test how a hard drive is performing and what temperature it is operating under during various operating conditions. This type of testing is useful to compare current reading and writing performance against known benchmarks for a hard drive matching the one under examination. Errors during testing and problems with speed, or accurate reading or writing during tests, can all indicate current or future problems that will only get worse with a hard drive that perhaps has seen better days. Alarm can sound when a hard drive becomes too hot.

CrystalDiskInfo Key Features:

  • Hard drive testing software to determine how a drive is performing
  • Checks temperature and can sound an alarm when hard drives become too hot
  • Verifies performance on read and write testing procedures
  • Requires Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, XP, Vista or 7

CrystalDiskInfo is a useful tool to check whether a hard drive needs replacing sooner rather than later.
