"Assists in the recovery and prevention of RSI"
Do you want to be more productive, prevent or recover from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)? Workrave makes sure that you do. It will remind you when it’s time to take breaks and it will prevent you from overworking.
Here’s what you should know about this program:
- Studies have shown that taken mini pauses every hour you can prevent and heal
- You can set micro breaks, regular breaks and a daily limit to use your computer
- By default, Workrave it will only pop-up a non-obtrusive window to remind you it’s time for a break, but if you ignore it too much it will become more aggressive for your own good
- You can set the program to block your access during the break, if you prefer it that way
- If you’re not using your mouse or keyboard, Workrave will assume you’ve left the computer and stop monitoring the activity until you come back
- One of the things that make this program unique is the ability to control your activity even if you have to switch back and forth from computer to computer in a local network
