"Nice and highly customizable Desktop clock"
PerfectClock is a light and flexible program that allows you to have unlimited world clocks on your desktop. The application offers numerous customization options. You can choose as many time zones as you need. You no longer need to browse for local time in countries your business partners or relatives live. Set up as many time zones as you need, name them as you please, add various skins and customize their appearance to your liking.
Requirements: Windows 2000, XP, Vista. Installation is standard. You are advised to close other applications for PerfectClock to install properly. The package does not seem to include any adware, spyware or other bundled freeware in it.
PerfectClock offers quite a plain looking interface in Win XP style and layout. You can customize it by downloading more skins from Publisher's website. They offer analog and digital skins in a variety of moods. It is rather easy to navigate the application and find your whereabouts. By default, the application has Force Stay On Top enabled, which is quite irritating. You can disable it by right-clicking on the clock. Customization options are simple and intuitive. Overall user experience is quite pleasant, but could be more fun. You can set the interface language to English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, Belorussian and Russian.
One of the pros here is the ability to add as many time zones to your desktop as you need and name them according to your taste. Position the clock wherever you want, make it transparent, or choose the Force Stay On Top if you like it. There is a post-processing feature to adjust hue, brightness, contrast and saturation of the clock. Render Reflection feature makes the clock quite realistic.
There is an option of creating unlimited number of alarms and reminders. They are fully customizable – add default sounds or music from your library, set intervals, choose to delete alarm after it's been played, etc. Alarms and reminders can display messages you choose to go with them.
The application synchronizes with SNTP servers showing the world's most accurate time. Extra features, like wallpaper clocks by VladStudio, more skins and screen savers are available, too, but you will need to download them separately.
If you choose to uninstall, make sure you turn off the application, because otherwise it may create a glitch. In my case, the program was still running after three uninstall programs showed that it no longer existed on the machine.
Desktop Clock-7 is a shareware program designed to display current time and date, as well as days of the week on the desktop.
Windows Clock offers an option to display several time zones, too. It functions well enough for those who prefer accurate timing to cute skins.
It is a flexible solution for those who need multiple time zones displayed on their desktop. The feature of completely customizing every clock for a more distinctive look is fairly useful. Alarms and reminders are perfectly customizable and versatile. Adjusting hue and saturation may increase CPU usage though.
Requirements: Windows 2000, XP, Vista
