The Avira Update Manager (UNIX) is engineered to contain the following two components:

- Avira Update Manager Server (for both Microsoft Windows and UNIX).
- Avira Update Manager Frontend (for Microsoft Windows only).

This allows for the software to do it's function which is to work via your intranet so that it can control the downloading of product updates on these servers.

The AUM Frontend lets you configure an operate one or more AUM Servers from a central point (Remote Control).

Computer from Pentium class upwards, a least 1 Ghz
