Developer Description

"Teaches children to master spelling lessons"

iSpellWell is an innovative new software product that helps children
master spelling. It includes 65 lessons for grades 1-5 and nearly 1000
words and sentences. Additional lessons can be added easily by typing
them in yourself or downloading them from the Internet.

The foundation of iSpellWell is an intuitive testing interface that
focuses on the individual child's performance. The more trouble a child
has with a particular word, the more the child is required to practice
that word. iSpellWell is designed to work with a students' weekly
spelling lessons. It uses state-of-the-art speech-to-text technology
and Microsoft's Agent Interface to provide a personal learning
experience for children. Little animated characters call children by
their first name and utter encouragement throughout the learning
process.

Although iSpellWell is a great product for individual students, it was
designed to take advantage of the relationships between schools,
students and parents. iSpellWell is founded on the idea that spelling
lessons should be shared between schools, teachers and students. Custom
spelling lessons are easily created and shared between users making it
a perfect software solution for schools and teachers. Groups of lessons
can be exported to a single file that can be sent to other users for
use on their computer. Because a single file is used to store a series
of lessons, it can be sent via diskette, e-mail or other network
communication. Lessons can even be shared over the Internet.
