Chromium is the original version of the Google Chrome web browser from which the more well known browser was derived. Chromium is actively built as an open-source project which lets internet users access the internet to view web pages and through other online protocols. The Chromium source code can be accessed on the Chromium web site to learn how it works, make changes and try out in new ways. Design documents include software architecture plans are also available for review. Any new project can be tested using a set procedure. An interesting web browsing project with much future potential outside of the main browser spotlight.
