UltraSearch is a search utility that can scan through NTFS Windows configured hard drives for files and then display the results in a few seconds. The utility goes through the Master File Table which does an excellent job of keeping a tally on what files are stored on the drive and where they are located. This kind of indexing helps to speed up search results because a thorough scan of a hard drive is not necessary. The search function includes individual file names and pattern matching using wildcard searches. Search results can later be exported to an Excel file, as a CSV file or as a plain text file. Fast searching is the main attraction of UltraSearch.
