"Magic Windows PC Partition Manager Software"
If you ever need to perform operations on your computer’s partitions such as resize, extend, format and others, then you need to make sure that you use a software which is easy to use and won’t confuse you into taking the wrong action. A program like that is AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional; it has all the features it should have as a disk partition manager in a modern interface that anyone can get familiar with quickly.
When you download the program, you actually download a ZIP file with two executables and a readme file. One of the executables (PartitionAssistant_XXX.exe) is the setup package for Partition Assistant, and the other executable is another utility for managing dynamic disks only. You don’t have to install that one, unless there’s a specific reason for you to do so.
Once you launch Assistant Partition’s installer you will be asked to choose the desired language to use throughout the installation. Then the wizard will open and guide you through the whole procedure, which is easy and straightforward.
Partition Assistant doesn't have any type of malware included, and is clean from 3rd party advertised software too.
Supported operating systems are Windows 2000, XP, 7, Vista, 8 and 8.1 (32/64-bit).
The main interface of the program is neat and elegant, with all its features organized nicely. The menu bar has 6 items (System, Disk, Partition, Wizard, Settings and Help) and below it is the toolbar with several buttons (Apply, Discard, Undo, Redo, etc.). Moving on to the main area of the window, you can see a pane on the left-hand side with two sets of options: Wizards and Disk Operations (if a partition is selected instead of a disk, then the second set is replaced by Partition Operations and has different functions). The first set includes all operations that come with a wizard to help you perform them and the second set lists all operations that can be performed on the disks (or partitions). The main area next to the sidebar displays your disks and partitions along with useful information.
There are plenty of operations available for your disks. In fact, you can extend, shrink, resize, move, merge, split, copy, create, delete, format and wipe partitions. Additionally you can change/remove drive letter, hide/unhide drive, convert between logical and primary, convert from FAT/FAT32 to NTFS, wipe unallocated space, change partition type and serial number, as well as align partitions. More advanced features include rebuilding MBR and converting to GPT/MBR disk. For many of those operations there’s a wizard available that will help you perform tasks correctly.
You can recover partitions, migrate OS to SSD or HDD, as well as create a bootable CD.
Although developers state that it supports Windows 8.1, there have been complaints that it’s not working very well under that OS.
All in all, AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro is actually one of the most useful and easiest to use program regarding disk and partition management tasks.
