NetworkTrafficView is a network viewing application that can display what your traffic is. Displayed within the app is the stream of network packets that are going to the network adapter and then out either across a corporate or home network, or out over the internet. With each packet, there is an enormous amount of statistical information presented such as the type of communication, IP protocol used, the source and destination addresses, type of service used (http for web browsing, ftp for off-site server access, etc.). While the app is not comprehensive, it certainly gives some insight into what traffic is flowing through your network adapter and can indicate if there is some odd looking transmissions occurring to strange destinations.
