A router monitor such as AgataSoft PingMaster Pro does exactly that while also providing you with prompt alerts and detailed logs. This software constantly monitors your network devices while running silently in the background on the host computer. It uses minimal system resources and monitors network activities, network traffic and much more. It uses either the SNMP or ICMP protocols, depending on those supported by the device, to monitor everything connected to your network. Prompt alerts are sent out as soon as an issue is discovered. These can be delivered as visual alerts to the administrator's computer or by email or ICQ.

What's new in this version: Added custom port monitoring, such as: SMTP, POP3, IMAP, DNS, FTP, TELNET, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, NETBIOS, MS SQL, MySQL, and any other port. Added SNMP Trap Server.
