OpenMandriva Lx is a Linux distribution which is an alternative to other Linux distros as well as Windows, for x86 type machines. There are both 32-bit and faster running 64-bit versions available for free download and installation. The desktop is KDE which is desktop platform that has long been under development which reduces the number of bugs. For users who have used other Linux versions with KDE it be very familiar, for newbies it is a clean-looking, easy to use desktop system with good use of color, large graphical icons and simple menu features.
