BitTorrent Sync is a file transfer and folder syncing technology from the people behind the BitTorrent torrent download program. The idea behind the software is that it can be used to syncing folders between different devices, be they computers or other systems. The computers can be connected over the net or a private network not connected to the internet. When two or more computers are connected then folders are matched up and any files can be synced to mirror the same folders. AES-128 encryption methodology is used for all data being transferred and then it is decrypted when the data packets are reassembled once transfer is complete.
