"Fresh, free and fast browser"
Citrio is an alternative web browser which shares its interface and appearance with Google Chrome, and Chromium which it is based on.
Both malware attacks and phishing attacks are covered using extensions to protect against these issues.
Information entered into web forms and elsewhere when using this web browser is somewhat protected because the software will alert the user about security concerns when entering information into an insecure web site that is not using a valid security certificate or SSL encryption.
The user can customize the settings, view the previous history of web sites accessed, and look up bookmarks that have been saved already. The browser is also customizable with a range of themes to alter the appearance of the interface, browser apps and browser extensions.
One of the benefits of using a similar browser to Google Chrome is that the user gets all the upside without the monitoring of browsing activity which affects Google's advertising program which can give a sense of being followed around the web.
The software does however include the bundled Ask search which is often not considered to be a good choice.
The installation completed without any issues. The installation starts up right away once the setup file is opened.
There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup package.
Citrio requires Windows OS.
The interface will be extremely familiar to anyone who has previously used Google Chrome, Chromium or a variant.
A tabbed interface for each open web page is shown near the top. Favorite icons, page name and a close X button are all shown.
There is a settings bar icon at the right-side position to access different features. Icons for the already added browser extensions are shown to the left of the settings symbol. Below that level is the bookmarks bar to access toolbar bookmarks and other ones that have been saved already.
Truly anyone who is familiar with Chrome will have no issues using Citrio.
- Chrome and Chromium alternative with the same interface

Chrome is the obvious alternative to this application; a frequently updated, fresh version with all the latest bells and whistles in the 64-bit stable version. Firefox and Pale Moon are good choices as well.
Citrio is an alternative to using Chrome which offers most of the same features without the snooping.
