"Take the best of Google everywhere on the web"

Although having toolbars in your browser is somewhat annoying and usually pushes the web pages down, if you have to have one toolbar installed on your computer it’s Google Toolbar. This simple tool combines the power of multiple Google products into one, easy to install and use solution.

Here’s why Google toolbar is one of the few fantastic toolbars that are really worth installing:

  • You can translate any web page on the fly to a language of your choosing (let’s say you arrived on a Russian page that you know contains the information you need, all you have to do is press a button and you’ll see it in English in mere seconds)
  • Blocks any disrupting pop-ups when you’re browsing the web
  • Easy access to Google search whenever you’re visiting other sites, all you have to do is enter your keywords in the search box contained in the toolbar
  • Instant notification if you received email in your Gmail account
  • Bookmark any websites you find interesting and share them with your friends
  • If you land on a page that’s missing, it can suggest alternatives
  • It auto-fills web forms for you with just a click of the mouse
  • Displays Page Rank, Google’s measure of trust in a particular website; highly useful for webmasters and users who want a measure of importance for the sites they visit
  • It will try to guess what you want to search for to speed up the process

The only bad thing about it is that you can only use it in Internet Explorer and Firefox (up to version 4.0). Chrome does not support toolbars, so it’s most likely this software will be discontinued in a near future. Download it today, I’m sure you’ll find at least one useful purpose for it.
