Film.Strip.Explorer is a free Windows tool for convenient preview and management of images, photos, videos and documents. It restores the classic Windows XP filmstrip view on modern Windows systems. Files are displayed clearly as filmstrips, allowing fast browsing, previewing and comparison.

The built-in dual filmstrip mode allows side-by-side comparison of folders or files. Tabs make it easy to work with multiple directories at once. Film.Strip.Explorer is based on the proven Quad File Explorer (Q-Dir) but is simplified and optimized for media preview tasks.

The program is fully portable, requires no installation, runs with low CPU and memory usage, and works without administrator rights. It is ideal for photographers, archivists, office users, and anyone looking for a fast, classic and ad-free alternative to the standard Windows Explorer.
