Short description

CDex is a CD ripping tool to take an existing CD that one owns and convert it into a digital version that can more easily be played in a digital portable music player later. The music data can be formulated into music files and saved in a number of compressed formats. The interface is quite spartan in its design and so it is not overwhelming for new users who wish to get started with CD ripping for the very first time. Batch renaming functions ensure that oddly named song files can be renamed in a consistent manner to reflect the artist, album and title. ID3 tagging is also supported for full meta data updating so that songs will present nicely and be search-able within portable media players.
