Your Planetary Transits is a software package for astrologers, astronomers, sky watchers and other professionals who are interested in other planets, the solar system and outer space.

The app is capable of calculating the planetary positions and their movement between two periods of time. Their geocentric transits can be calculated and related to the position of the Sun.

Transits are actually split into two broad categories. The first is world transits (also known as mundane transits) and the other type is personal transits. World transits relates to two planets that are moving at the same time. This can be in the present time or in the past. A personal transit relates to a moving planet in relation to another planet in a fixed position.

There are planet transit tables which break things down for the user. Both sidereal zodiacs and tropical zodiacs are accounted for.

The software will initially appeal to astrologers, but it also has its application for people who have a general interest in other planets and their movements. The package can be used in conjunction with other software, NASA imagery found online, and space-related news. Therefore, the app isn't solely for use by people who believe in astrology and accurate star-sign readings.

Installation

The software required 3.3 MB of available space to complete the setup package. The installation completed without any difficulties.

There was no adware, toolbars, malware or spyware included with the setup program.

Interface

The interface focuses more on the precise display and conveying of planetary information rather than by impressing the user with lovely graphics.

There are numerous text boxes, information to select from drop-down combo boxes, and the like. As such, the software is functional with its interface rather than pretty.

The output can also be sent to an external file which is handy.
