"Help determine a file's encoding."
Encoding Recogniser is a Java program to determine how a file has been encoded. Encoded files are often used to obscure the true nature of the information. Files are also encoded to present information in a different manner. The decoded files can be displayed as decoded characters or as hexadecimal information which may be more useful for certain types of programmers. The package can be run using Java and then it will decode whatever files that it is fed. Files are selected and the method of encoding can be chosen or detected. Useful for programmers who are comfortable using Java programs.
