Pentium/AMD CPU ID is a system information tool written in Java that aims to provide some inside information about the particular computer processor that is installed in the computer the software is running on presently. The software can correctly identify Intel Pentium class processors and also AMD CPUs. The CPU make and model, step, vendor delivery, instruction set, CPU serial number and RDTSC Time stamp register which indicated uptime since the last cold boot process are all shown. This package is intended to provide technical functionality to other Java programers which would like to be able to show the computing information for processors within their own Java apps.
