Masker 1.9

"Masks email addresses as PNG images."

Masker is a Java program which aims to get around those pesky bots that can scan web sites looking for viable email address that are shown on the web page in plain text. With this program it is possible to simply type your email address and the software will produce a graphical text output with the same email address which can then be saved as a modern PNG graphic file for use on a web page. The program can be run independently or as a command line instruction to generate a new graphic file with a specified name based on an email address entered at the command line level. There appears to be no way to change the font or font size used in this application, but the graphic could be re-sized automatically by a web browser to better fit into an existing web page.

Masker Key Features:

  • Produce a graphical file representation of an email address to make it harder to scrape the email address from a web site
