"Speed up login time"
Synei Startup Manager is a Windows Startup Manager this is capable of delaying the load, disabling a startup item or deleting it altogether.
The package can show which programs are set to load when Windows startup. This can be helpful so ones that are unknown can be disabled to see what happens when they aren't loaded at Windows start or removed altogether. Programs can also be deferred so that they still load, but not immediately when Windows is starting. This can help prioritize the most important applications and let the less important ones load a few minutes later when the Windows start process has long since completed.
Spyware and adware can be prevented because the application can stop these programs before they load at startup. As many as 22,000 unnecessary programs can also be prevented from starting at boot-up. Reduce the risks to the security of the Windows system and cut down on the RAM memory required when loading few applications at startup.
Get into the Task Scheduler faster and manipulate the task management without needing to use the Windows program for this task.
The Synei Startup Manager installed fine with the enclosed installer. There were no extra software bundled in or sneaked in with the package.
The software requires Windows XP, Vista, 2008, 7 or 8 (both 32-bit and 64-bit are supported)
The interface is pleasingly modern with dashes of blue, and clear fonts used throughout.
In the left side bar are the options to Boost Startup Items, Delayed Startup Items, Manage Task Scheduler, Menu, and Signature Scanned.
The Boost Startup Items is where most of the magic happens. The user can view all the current startup items and choose to let them continue running, disable them, delete them, and even Google the item to get a better idea what it is exactly. There is also the option to defer the loading of the program for a given period of time. This can create a two tiered system; one of apps loading at startup immediately, and a second tier of ones that will load a few minutes later or even longer. This can reduce bottlenecks at startup which could well be quite useful for users. It also enables the user to prioritize the apps that they use right away like checking email, for instance, so they can get to their inbox faster.
