AlternateStreamView is a disk utility that can scan a Windows configured NTFS drive and locate all the hidden alternate streams which are currently located somewhere within the file system. Following an extensive scan, these streams can be accessed and extracts to a folder that is specified within the app itself. Streams can then be examined to determine whether they should be retained or simply discarded instead. The full list of retained, extracted streams can be saved to a convenient file. The file type can include a basic text file, a CSV file which can be easily imported in comma-separated fashion directly into Microsoft Excel spreadsheet package, as an HTML web page or an XML file which can be access by many applications later.
