"RGrow resizes fixed length records."

Rgrow is a C program that is capable of re-sizing fixed length records. By this it is meant that a record that has 500 bytes of data can be re-sized to be one that now has 600 bytes of data. This is done by padding binary zeros to the record to extend it. The program can also truncate records by essentially chopping off the end of the byte record. It is possible to increase the record size for all bytes of data in a file. This will add padding to every byte of data and result in a much later file as every byte is filled with nulls. Will function as a Windows Console app. Also runs from the DOS command prompt if needed.

Rgrow Key Features:

  • Grow bytes of data by adding null data
  • Grow whole files by adding null data to each byte of data
  • Truncate bytes to shrink file sizes
  • C source provided

Rgrow is a C package to adjust the byte size to suit the needs of the coder.
