The software goes beyond registry cleaning though as it can wipe history, usage patterns and other private information. RegCleaner is a package to perform clean ups of the Windows registry. It will remove unnecessary entries, incorrect entries and overall improve the functioning of Windows. There are some more recently updated packages which include a registry cleaner and support newer Windows operating systems, so they may be a better option going forward.
