BlOut 2.8

"Blout removes extra blank lines from a file."

BlOut is a Java program which can pull out blank lines from a file in order to compact is so that it isn't unnecessarily taking up more space than it needs to. Essentially the package is a little bit like the HTMLTidy application for HTML programmers which strips out blank spaces to reduce the file size. This Java program also trims blank lines at the start and end of the line caused by excessive carriage returns left in the file which may have gone unnoticed depending on which editor they were viewed in. Line endings are adjusted as well to conform to the Window standard. Trailing tab entries and spaces are also removed at the end of each line too. Wild cards are not understood by the program.
