Wipe is a data overwriting package whose goal is to eradicate garbage content that is taking up unnecessary space on a hard drive. Personal activity on the net is removed from web browsers like Firefox, Chrome and others. This includes auto complete history, sites visited and stored in cache and other areas. The overwriting is very sophisticated. It uses a choice of Gutmann, Russian GOST, DoD 5220.22-M and several others which are aggressive options to overwrite previously stored data repeatedly with garbage to prevent them from being retrieved later. Displays the amount of bytes saved. There are other packages which can do much more than Wipe does, but this app does seem to do an okay job.
