"A network disk system..."Distribute Virtual Disk System(DSCSI), a network based virtual disk & RAID system, and is also a good files sharing solution. DSCSI can create some disk/RAID disks on a computer, but the disk source is a disk or a image file on another computer. DSCSI is also a network sharing software, he can map disks to other Introduction:
computers, These disks is all the same as the source disks on the server, and these disks look as if a normal disk, someone can partition, format and some file operation. But all the operation only work local, do not affect to the server.
DSCSI provided virtual write technology, what’s the virtual write mean? That is, the user may carry on some operation (read, write, etc) while using the disks, but all operations only affect himself/herself rather than affect the others using same source disks. And all the operation is transparently to users.
DSCSI is build with the architecture of Client/Server, and it is also an kernel mode software (drivers), this product is developed independently and own intellectual property rights.
Maps the whole disk on server to the same virtual ones on other computers.
Maps partitions on server to virtual hard disks on other computers, the disk’s contain a partition that same as the source partitions.
Maps a disk image file on server to virtual hard disks on other computers.
Using the virtual disks is all the same as real ones, format, read files, write files and execute programs, etc.
By default, all the operation on clients will take effect local, after remounted the virtual disk or restarted computer, the data on the clients will be recovered, but also can make one client as a operator which has full access right can modify server disk directly.
Clients can map a local image file to virtual disks that is, clients can use this system as a disk emulator without servers.
Requirements: Windows 2000 /XP/2003/VISTA
What's new in this version: substantially increased the transmission speed.
