Overview

TreeSize Mobile is a free disk space tool to use on the older Windows Mobile OS from Windows Mobile 6 devices and older. The idea behind the software is that it will show exactly how the limited storage space on a Windows Mobile device is being used currently and what free space there is. The users can then move through their folder tree, look at the individual files sorted often by size, and determine where they can make cuts in order to free up additional space. The software can examine both the main storage within the Windows Mobile device and also SD cards inserted into the device.

Installation

Installation is simple enough on a Windows Phone device. The package includes no surprising extras. There is usually a coupon included for the TreeSize Professional package for Windows.

Interface

The interface is a fairly good one. The file tree for the storage device takes up most of the screen. There is a scroll bar on the right hand side to enable the user to scan downwards with Windows Mobile devices that have an extensive folder structure. A horizontal scroll bar is sometimes also present when the file structure is very deep or uses long folder names. The Top 100 files also gets a special tab at the bottom of the display, plus the main Tree structure tab and a few others than can be scrolled through. There is a good use of space and color to make the interface pleasant to look at and use. It is a very usable interface that is simple for anyone to get to grips with.
