Namexif 2.3

Reviewed by Gabriel Cojocaru on 28 Nov 2013

"Namexif renames photos or videos with their EXIF date."

If you use your digital camera a lot, you probably have a hard disk full of pictures with meaningless names (like DSF37194.jpg). Namexif comes to your rescue and is able to rename all the images automatically based on the date and time when the picture was taken.

Here’s why you may need this software:

  • It will make locating pictures much easier; you want to see the shots you’ve taken last year while you were on vacation? All you have to do is browse for the corresponding date and time
  • Is extremely easy to use, even though may be clumsy at the computer
  • You can rename individual images or whole directories and sub directories
  • If you choose to, you can append the original name at the end of the Namexif’s generated name
  • If the program is enable to extract the data from the EXIF portion of your image file, it won’t rename your picture

Download and install Namexif if you’d like to rename all your pictures, get rid of the unappealing file name and use the dates to easily sort through the big image archive.

What's new in this version: Better folder chooser, option to rename video files.
