"Keep your files and folders in sync."
Allway Sync is a robust file synchronization/backup utility that utilizes proprietary algorithms to keep your files updated and backed up between your computer and any other type of digital data storage device.
Installing Allway Sync is as simple as using the software to synchronize your files/folders. The wizard-style setup guide makes it easy for anyone to get started, even if you just bought your first computer yesterday. This program can also be installed on a removable media device like a USB drive or external hard drive, so you can use it on other computers without having to reinstall it.
The user interface is split into three main Windows – the profile window, options window, and statistics window. The profile window displays basic attributes about your files, including size, time modified/created, and how they're being synced. The options window gives you access to advanced settings that lets you customize every aspect of the software's functionality. The statistics window offers detailed real-time analysis regarding file transfers and synchronization operations.
Eliminates the hassle of having to back up and restore folders manually by automatically synchronizing them bidirectionally. This means updated versions of files are continually backed up to a designated directory as soon as changes are detected
Supports all file systems, including NTFS, FAT, SAMBA, X-Drive, Netware, UDF, CDFS, and more
Can synchronize a single folder with several other folders simultaneously
All file modification/deletions are continually recorded in a database on your local hard drive, so you can quickly view and restore previous file versions if needed
Proprietary data synchronization algorithms ensure redundancy so that data loss is not an issue even if you're transferring files over a bad network connection
Supports files of any size, so it's possible to synchronize even the largest data collections
Supports encrypted archives, so you can synchronize the contents of .zip files in the same way you would synchronize a typical folder
Files can be backed up to literally any type of media storage device, including other computers, USB drives, and external hard drives. You can even set your folders to be securely backed up to a web server or a remote computer via FTP/SFTP transfer
Statistics window makes it easy to get a visual impression of the status and structure of your folder synchronization operations
Does not support every file type, and larger files may take a long time to transfer
There is a plethora of other synchronization software that offer similar functionality to Allway Sync, including Beyond Compare, SyncBack, SyncToy, rSync, GoodSync (Win, Mac), Unison, and Uranium Backup. Of these competitors, SyncToy is the most popular for Windows, however it lacks the ability to synchronize files/folders with WebDAV accounts.
If you're looking for an easy way to keep all of your data backed up and current across several digital storage devices, Allway Sync offers a superb solution with an excellent feature set. Although there are many alternatives to choose from, this software is quickly becoming an industry leader due to its user-friendly functionality and its ability to prevent data loss during synchronization.
