"The complete hard drive recovery solution!"
If your computer was hit by a virus or you performed an action that deleted many and important files of yours, and you don't have a backup what you lost, then I'm afraid your choices are not many. In order to recover the lost files, then you should try using software created for recovering deleted files, like Hetman Partition Recovery. This tool will help you in various situations where you have to bring back personal files that you lost, like photos, music, videos, documents or files of any kind.
In order to install the program you just have to launch the installer, and follow the steps until the main installation process has been completed. The number of steps is very small, and you don't have to make any complicated settings throughout them.
You should not worry about any potentially dangerous software bundled with the main program, since it is completely clean from anything harmful (you can check our antivirus report).
Supported operating systems are Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 (32/64-bit).
After opening the program, you will be welcomed with a recovery wizard. This wizard will guide you through to restoring lost information in corrupted, deleted, formatted and newly created partitions, in a few very easy steps. You can either follow the wizard to start the recovery procedure, or close the wizard and take a look at the main window, which is very nicely organized: it has the toolbar with various buttons at the top, a pane on the left side for displaying the currently connected disks, and an area at the center for displaying the results after a scan. Additionally, there is a pane on the right side of the window, for previewing (if applicable) the found files. Information about the disks (size, file system, etc.) can be seen at the bottom part of the window.
All disk types are supported. This means that it doesn't matter you want to retrieve files from an external hard drive or a USB flash disk; as long as the disk it uses the NTFS and FAT32 file system, data can be recovered.
There are two scan modes: Fast scan and Full analysis. Each of them is suitable for different kinds of situations; for instance, if you want to try and recover a file that you accidentally deleted with Shift + delete, then the fast scan is more suitable than the full scan. However, if you want to recover many files that were long gone, then the full analysis is more suitable and will give better results.
After a scan, all found files on the disk will be displayed in the main window. You will be able to explore the disk and view all found files that were deleted, along with existing files. You can also search for files in the disk, in case you want to find a particular file.
Found files can be either recovered and saved to the hard disk, burned to a CD/DVD or uploaded to an FTP server. In addition, a virtual image of the disk can be created as well.
No advanced technical experience is required to use this program. The integrated wizard makes the procedure simple even to inexperienced users, which is a big bonus since many software have complicated features and functionality.
There are no cons in this program.
Here are some alternatives to Hetman Partition Recovery: TestDisk (free), MiniTool Partition Recovery (free), EaseUS Partition Recovery (paid) and GetDataBack (paid, for FAT or NTFS). All of these have similar functionality, with GetDataBack and TestDisk being the top ones among them.
Hetman Partition Recovery is a great software that guarantees to recover lost files in disks without being too complicated and difficult to use. Highly recommended!
Requirements: Administrative privileges are needed for starting the program
