"One-stop hard disk data recovery software"
No one wants to have his data deleted accidentally (from a virus disaster or an unwanted format, for example), but unfortunately it’s not something rare and if you’re not prepared for it then you’re probably going to have a hard time bringing the deleted stuff back. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Pro however makes this operation easier due to its simplicity and efficient features.
The steps you have to follow in order to install the product are very few and easy. As soon as you launch the installer you’re prompted to select the installation wizard’s language. Then, throughout the procedure you’ll have to make just a few basic configurations (shortcuts, installation directory, etc.) and then wait for the main installation procedure to complete. In one of the steps you’re also going to be warned about installing the program in the same partition as the one you want to recover files from (it’s highly recommended that you don’t do that and change installation directory to another partition).
Supported operating systems are Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, Windows Server 2012, 2008, 2003, Mac OS X. There’s also a version available for iOS devices.
The program’s interface is quite modern and attractive. When you first open it, you will see that it has 3 big buttons in the middle: Deleted File Recovery, Complete Recovery and Partition Recovery. Each one is used for a different purpose and to start undeleting files you choose the one that best corresponds to your situation. This is basically the first step of the recovery process; more steps follow and make the whole operation a lot easier, especially to the less experienced users.
As I mentioned above, there are 3 recovery modes that you can use to recover deleted files. The first one (Deleted File Recovery) is used for cases where files are deleted accidentally from the recycle bin or by a software. You could say that it’s what you would use when a document or photo was lost from your computer and you had to bring it back. The second mode (Complete Recovery) should be used when the whole partition was formatted and if everything was deleted from it. Other cases are system crashes, virus attacks and if the Deleted File Recovery failed to restore your files. The third mode (Partition Recovery) is used to recover partitions that have been deleted due to disk partitioning, problem in Boot Manager, etc.
The steps are basically the same in each mode; you select what kind of files you want to restore (images, documents, videos, etc.) and then select the partition you want to scan. After waiting a bit (until the scan is over) you’ll see the found files and from there you can choose the ones you want to recover.
The program is available in 3 languages: English, Dutch and Japanese.
No cons here.
Other professional software in the data recovery area are TestDisk (free), Stellar Phoenix NTFS Data Recovery (paid) and Yesterdata Data Recovery (paid).
EaseUS is a respectable company with quality products, and Data Recovery Wizard Pro is a perfect example of that. It has a variety of features and can help a lot of users bring back important files.
