"professional desktop publishing software"
Most professionals and companies need to have their own business cards, which is quite costly if you consider the fact that apart from the printing part, a graphic designer has to be hired as well, in order to create the cards in the first place; and of course this means that plenty of time has to be spent on that, too. An easier solution would be to just use SpringPublisher Pro, a cheap software that gives you the ability to create your own business cards, flyers, posters, letterheads and other kinds of print designs, without any hustle, as if you were a true graphics designer yourself.
The installation procedure is very easy, short and straightforward. It consists of only a small number of steps which you have to follow in order to complete it. The steps have no advanced settings whatsoever; the only one you’ll come across actually is the common installation directory setting. However, before the main installation process is complete, you’ll have to pick whether you want to upgrade to the Pro version by buying a license code, or stick to the Free version which is more limited.
In addition, near the end of the installation procedure, you’ll have to choose if you want to make “Mystartsearch” your browser homepage, default search and new tab page in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome, and also if you want to install “Systweak RegClean Pro” (registry cleaner) which also comes with the “GoHD” browser extension; decline both if you don’t want to install them (recommended).
Supported operating systems are Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 (32/64-bit).
When you run the program you will be asked if you want to create a blank project, use a template project from the template library or load a previously saved project. Once you pick an option, you will be brought to the program’s main window.
The program’s interface is very clean, which makes it easy for the average user distinguish and find any features and functions, all of which are organized in the buttons located in the toolbar and the panes on the left and right side of the window.
There are 5 buttons on the toolbar (New Project, Open, Save Project, Save As Image and Print), and 6 buttons on the left pane (Insert Image, Insert Text, Insert Shape, Insert Map, Insert Barcode and Page Manager). As you can see, SpringPublisher Pro has quite a lot of features implemented.
In the center is the work area, which is blank at first and has two rulers (an horizontal ruler and a vertical ruler) for designs that require more precision.
You can add images, text, QR codes, vector shapes, logos, barcodes, etc. to your project in roder to make it more artistic and rich. You don’t have to worry if you don’t have any custom resources of your own to work with, since you can download high quality templates from the template store and work on them.
Several effects can be added to the projects: shadows, rotation, borders, image filters, color adjustments, and others.
Any artwork can be saved with a maximum resolution of 350dpi, which can then be printed either at home with your own printer, or at a print shop.
It wants to install too many advertised software during the installation procedure, which is a big disadvantage for the software.
Other software which you can use to create your own artworks are Adobe InDesign (paid),Serif Pageplus (freemium), Lucidpress (freemium) and Label Nation (free). The best one out of those is InDesign, due to its large number of advanced features and functions.
SpringPublisher Pro is a decent software that can help you create your business cards, flyers, posters etc. in a convinient way without spending a fortune.
