"Easy Document Conversion to Adobe PDF"
PDF Impress provides a powerful and robust tool that allows you to create PDF documents from just about any source. You’ll find a vast amount of features, options, and functionality that does well to make this application feel like a high-end PDF all-in-one creator. Being able to edit PDF files in your favorite editor and then being able to add additional touches like digital signatures or watermarks within PDF Impress gives a fully dynamic experience.
Some of the key features included in PDF Impress are the ability to use it as PDF Management by replacing the need for Adobe Reader by allowing preview and print options to PDF files, with the addition of adding stamps, attachments, security, digital signatures, watermarks, document information, encrypt PDF documents and much more. It would be a challenge to come up with a feature for PDF editing that isn’t included in this application.
PDF Impress is as robust as it gets when it comes to editing or converting PDF files. It can be a bit overwhelming when you first launch the application and see the massive amount of added functionality and options for standard users, but it’s not really a bad thing as it does well to provide additional ideas for your document. Work-groups who store their reports and forms digitally will definitely be impressed by the ease of use when it comes to adding professional designs to PDFs. My only complaint with the application is that occasionally is had some slowdowns on systems that well met the system requirements. Overall the speed of the application was impressive and seemed more responsive than other high-end PDF creators.
Installation is extremely simple with literately no next buttons, or options. Run the executables and in a minute or so you’ll be ready to roll.
System Requirements: OS: Microsoft Windows XP (SP2 or later), Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Processor: 1GHz Intel/AMD processor or above. RAM: 256MB RAM (512MB or above recommended). Free Hard Disk: 55MB space for installation.
Interface is clean and well organized, menus are colorful and bright, primary functions are larger and easy to see, and the more detailed features are listed in right-click crisp drop out menus.
- Very easy to use and to deploy to large workgroups with an automated installation.
- Has the ability to create digital forms that include security, watermarks, and digital signatures
- No Trial limitations allowing you to fully try the application before buying
- Provides more of an all-in-one PDF solution.
- Can optimize printing by saving ink and paper, which can save a lot for companies with larger outputs.
- Occasionally experienced slow-downs when using the application on Windows 7 and Windows 8. The overall speed and ease of the application can make up for this.
It’s probably obvious to some of you what the biggest alternative to PDF Impress is and yes, it’s Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Pro for short. It provides for the most part all of the same functions and is generally more used by PDF creators today. Its advantage is that more users will be familiar with Adobe Pro, but its disadvantage can be that it is too restrictive. Adobe is fairly persistent and sometimes overwhelming with its licensing practices, which can be a turn off for some.
If you’re looking for a powerful alternative to the PDF juggernaut Adobe Acrobat Pro, PDF Impress is the way to go. We've been hard pressed to find applications that provide this level of functionality with the PDF format and it’s exciting to see something like PDF Impress that can truly impress (No Pun intended) both standard and business users. If you store digital forms and reports, it’s without a doubt worth giving it a try to see if it’s the right fit for you or your company.
Requirements: Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7/8/2012/10
