"A UPNP AV compliant media server."

Overview

TVersity Media Server is a UPNP audio-visual compliant server to serve media by beaming content using either UpnP or DLNA to audio-visual devices.

The application installs directly to Windows. From there, it creates a hub for all digital content from TV to movies to podcasts and more. The user can search their entire library for new content to play, view or listen to. This saves hunting around different folders across several hard drives in order to locate the right media each evening.

Content can also be accessed online and pulled into the application which creates a pretty seamless experience between local content and online streaming.

Create a list of channels for different types of content either available locally or across the internet. The media server can then beam the content to devices that are capable of receiving it where they can then view the content from the media server.

Installation

The installation includes a lot of media sharing options and the choice whether to start the software immediately when Windows starts. This is because it runs as a server. There is the option to add Flickr or Picasa image libraries to the software.

The installation completed without any issues.

There was no adware, toolbars, malware, spyware or other malicious software included with the setup package.

TVersity Media Server requires Windows 2000, XP or 2003.

Interface

The interface has several navigation tabs in the higher center of the page for Guide, Library, Status, and Settings. Talk, Addition and Refresh buttons are on the left side.

There are some category navigation links for Featured, Top Videocasts, New Videocasts, Top Podcasts, etc.

Each major media item is displayed with a large thumbnail which makes it easier to see what media is stored within TVersity Media Server.
