"All-in-one video editor"
Qditor is a video editor where it is possible to create edited videos and picture in picture effects which can combine two different shots into a single fluid shot. This is useful, for instance, with YouTube channel owners who go out on the road and wish to show the open road and themselves in discussion with the audience at the same time.
The color balance and tuning can be adjusted to deal with white balance, low lighting conditions and other issues that can crop up with digital video recording.
Videos can be cropped to cut out parts of a shot that are not needed or not wanted. Audio files can also be edited to fit them into an edited video to add an auditory element to the presentation.
There are many special effects that can be included with a video. Transitions can be used to seamlessly move from one cut to the next without ugly jumps in the shot. A Graffiti artwork function can help the user draw something rough and artistic over the still image. Text effects, sound effects, background music and other effects can be either accessed directly through the application or via the developer's web site as an additional download.
The editor supports Full HD 16:9 widescreen video up to 1920 x 1080 resolution and also supports 1280 x 720 resolution too. Playback can be adjusted to half the normal speed or up to 4 times faster during the editing process.
The installation completed without any issues.
There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup package.
Qditor requires Windows XP, Vista, or 7. There are also alternative versions available for iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
The interface is modern and very usable. Like any video editor, the complexity of the layout belies all the options available and that are necessary during the video editing process.
There is a menu system at the top. There is a Resource navigation tiled block down the left side for Resource Gallery, Transitions, Image Effects, Type Effects, and Opening/Ending. Depending on the Resource selected, the smaller tabbed menu system changes as does the preview of content below, i.e. video and image thumbnails.
There is also a video preview window to the right with playback controls.
There is an Effects Editor below that with several thumbnail sized previews.
At the bottom is the full track editor with selectors for video, titles, music and other parts of a completely edited video.
